In an era of globalization full of challenges, the role of women and youth is key in realizing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They are agents of change who have the power to reduce inequality and increase justice throughout the world. This conference is designed to gather the best thinking, innovation and solutions that can accelerate the achievement of the SDGs with a focus on empowering women and youth.
With more than half of the world's population under the age of 30, youth have enormous potential to influence a sustainable future. Meanwhile, women continue to struggle against structural barriers that prevent their full participation in all aspects of life. This conference will explore how empowering women and youth can be a catalyst for reducing inequality and strengthening social justice.
Responding to this urgent need, the Nuraa Women's Institute is proud to host an international conference on SDGs, focusing on the theme “Women and Youth in Action for SDGs 2030: Reducing Inequalities, Enhancing Health and Well Being, and Combating Climate Change” on September 6th, 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This timely event will serve as a powerful platform for collaboration and action between government, the private sector, civil society, and academia.
