Strengthening Global Synergies for Women’s Leadership and Innovation in Geneva

Geneva, Switzerland – Continuing her mission to promote women’s empowerment globally, Dr. Nurhayati Ali Assegaf engaged in a strategic dialogue with the Geneva Council for International Affairs and Development (GCIAD). The discussion, themed “Global Synergies for Women’s Leadership and Innovation,” explored collaborative efforts to advance gender equality and innovation-driven leadership.

As a global advocate for women's rights, Dr. Nurhayati emphasized the importance of cross-border partnerships in amplifying the impact of women-led initiatives. The session highlighted key areas where international collaboration can drive sustainable progress, including:

• ✅ Policy & Leadership: The role of inclusive policies in shaping equitable societies.
• ✅ Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Strategies to support women entrepreneurs and leaders.

During her visit to Geneva, Dr. Nurhayati also made a courtesy visit to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) office, reinforcing her long-standing commitment to advancing women's leadership in politics and governance. Having previously served as President of the IPU Bureau of Women Parliamentarians, Dr. Nurhayati discussed the importance of strengthening women’s representation in parliaments worldwide.

The engagement with IPU reaffirmed the shared commitment to closing the gender gap in political leadership and ensuring that women’s voices are heard in policymaking at all levels.

This series of discussions in Geneva marked another significant step in Nuraa Women's Institute’s mission to bridge global networks and empower women across different sectors. The exchange of ideas reinforced that sustainable progress is only possible when women are included in decision-making at all levels.
