(NWI at World Expo) Indonesia’s Voice on the Global Stage: Dr. Assegaf Speaks at Two Sessions During WEConnect Summit
On May 29, 2025, the second day of the WEConnect Asia Pacific Summit, held at Grand Green Osaka, Dr. Nurhayati Ali Assegaf delivered two impactful contributions to the global conversation on women in business and responsible growth. Her participation elevated Indonesia’s presence and emphasized the vital importance of investing in women-led enterprises in the region.
Dr. Assegaf’s first session was a roundtable discussion titled “Responsible Sourcing Impact – How to be Amazon Supply Chain and Sustainability Ready.” This session focused on equipping women-owned businesses with tools to meet global sustainability standards and access international supply chains. Later, she took the stage again for a high-level panel discussion titled “Closing the Funding Gap – Unlocking Capital for Women-Owned Businesses.” Her insights on financing challenges and innovative funding mechanisms drew great interest from both investors and entrepreneurs alike.
Both engagements showcased Dr. Assegaf’s expertise and commitment to inclusive economic development. The summit, powered by WEConnect International and supported by Bank Mandiri , created a unique space for leaders to collaborate and build a future where women entrepreneurs thrive. Nuraa Women’s Institute is honored to have contributed meaningfully to this global dialogue.
