Women Political Leaders (WPL) G20 Conference, 29 October 2021

In the midst of the G20 Summit series of events in Rome, Women Political Leaders (WPL) held a gathering event inviting female political leaders to contribute to discussions taking place at the G20 forum, including proposing solutions to global challenges.

The WPL G20 event was initiated jointly by the WPL, the European Commission and the European Parliament in the midst of Italy's presidency of the G20. At the WPL G20 event, for the first time, the results of the latest study from the survey "the Reykjavík Index for Leadership" in G20 countries were released. It also includes a special focus on climate change.

As WPL Global Ambassador for SDGs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurhayati Ali Assegaf emphasized the importance of world leaders taking significant steps to combat climate change.
